Lisbon was once again considered one of the best cities in the world to live in as an expatriate! According to the Expat City Ranking 2022, the votes of foreign citizens relocated in about 50 different cities, gave 4th place to the Portuguese capital, which stood out for its quality of life, temperate climate all year round, local friendliness, affordable cost of living, ease of settling and managing personal finances. The top 3 cities are Valencia (Spain), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Mexico City (Mexico). In the Quality of Life Index, which covers various categories such as leisure activities, travel and transport, health and well-being, safety and security, and environment and climate, Portugal is in 5th position.
